Developmental Therapists
A STEP AHEAD'S

Megan Colglazier, Developmental Therapist
Megan is a native of Columbus, Indiana and graduated from Miami University of Ohio with a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education in 2003. She began her teaching career in Ohio in 2003 at Wildwood Elementary. After having her daughter, she moved back to Columbus to continue teaching special
education in both middle and high school settings. After transitioning into the preschool setting in 2016,
she found her age range “niche” where she truly enjoyed working on early childhood development.
She began working as a developmental therapist for A Step Ahead in 2018 and has loved expanding into
a more collaborative role with parents and families. Working in developmental therapy largely has
centered around communication between infants/toddlers and their family members. Helping provide families with strategies to increase communication, decrease frustration and overall increase independence in their child is something she is very passionate about and strives to help families do successfully. In her free time, Megan enjoys relaxing at home with her daughter, Carly, and their dog and cat. She also enjoys cooking, gardening and the outdoors.
