Meet The Team!

I am a 1999 Eastern Kentucky University graduate in Occupational Therapy. I began working part-time at A Step Ahead in 2001 and fell in love with working in Pediatrics. Children's development is fascinating and I am privileged to be able to walk alongside families as we work together, helping children reach their full potential.  When I'm not at work you might find me with my family, my church family, riding bikes on the People Trail or gardening.

I am originally from Wisconsin and graduated from Marquette University. I have worked in pediatrics for 30+ years, during which I have had the opportunity to practice in a number of different settings including acute care, ICU, inpatient and outpatient rehab, outpatient clinic, and home based early intervention. I love getting to know my patients and their families and working with them to meet their goals. My husband and I have three adult sons and our youngest son is in high school. We have enjoyed watching all four of them participate in many different sports over the years. We are also huge Green Bay Packer fans!

Jessica's history involves working with kids with autism, as well training others how to implement ABA therapy at A Step Ahead Autism Solutions for over 5 years.  She has three dogs: Lila, Sadie, and Teddy. She also has a fish tank, too many plants, and she enjoys spending time at home. Jessica currently resides in Columbus, IN. 

Alison has loved working as a pediatric OT for over 7 years. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Human Development, with minors in Psychology and Biology, from Virginia Tech, go Hokies! She obtained her Masters in Occupational Therapy from James Madison University. Alison resides in Columbus, IN with her husband and three children. She loves spending time with her family, cheering on the Hokies, traveling, and enjoying a Starbucks treat and a good book

After many years of struggling with not knowing what she wanted to be when she "grew up", Aundree became a Physical Therapist Assistant in 2012. She loves working with kids and helping them build the strength and confidence they need to help them reach their fullest possible functional independence. She is passionate about being environmentally conscientious and hopes to live a net zero life someday. Aundree also loves home improvement projects, hiking/backpacking, and musicals.

Hi my name is Alyssa Earls. I'm originally from Chebanse IL but moved here to Columbus. I graduated from University of Indianapolis with a Bachelors in Psychology in 2019 and a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy in 2022. When not working at A Step Ahead I like to spend time with my two dogs and significant other. I look forward to working with the kiddos to help them reach their fullest potential.

I graduated from The University of Southern Indiana in December 2013.

I love working with kids and have been a therapist in a variety of pediatric settings.
