Meet The Team!
I am a 1999 Eastern Kentucky University graduate in Occupational Therapy. I began working part-time at A Step Ahead in 2001 and fell in love with working in Pediatrics. Children's development is fascinating and I am privileged to be able to walk alongside families as we work together, helping children reach their full potential. When I'm not at work you might find me with my family, my church family, riding bikes on the People Trail or gardening.
Catherine graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelors in Psychological Science 2017 before pursuing her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Huntington University. After graduation she moved to Columbus, IN with her fiancé and quickly joined the A Step Ahead team, fulfilling her life-long goal of working with kids. When not working Catherine enjoys spending time with her fiancé and two dogs and exploring Columbus!
Ariel has worked with kids on the autism spectrum as an RBT and was the Administrative Coordinator at A Step Ahead Autism Solutions since September of 2019 and she has been with A Step Ahead Pediatric Therapy as Office Coordinator since October of 2021. She focuses mainly on scheduling, billing and intake processes for First Steps, and overseeing daily clinical operations. She loves being around the kiddos all day and watching their progress in therapy! Ariel has a Golden Retriever and a cat, Mia and Estelle. She loves taking Mia to the park, buying plants, shopping at TJ Maxx, and Starbucks.
Jessica's history involves working with kids with autism, as well training others how to implement ABA therapy at A Step Ahead Autism Solutions for over 5 years. Currently, she oversees new client intake processes, billing, and Human Resources at A Step Ahead. She has three dogs: Lila, Sadie, and Teddy. She also has too many plants and enjoys spending time at home. Jessica currently resides in Columbus, IN.
Alison has loved working as a pediatric OT for over 7 years. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Human Development, with minors in Psychology and Biology, from Virginia Tech, go Hokies! She obtained her Masters in Occupational Therapy from James Madison University. Alison resides in Columbus, IN with her husband and three children. She loves spending time with her family, cheering on the Hokies, traveling, and enjoying a Starbucks treat and a good book
Physical Therapy Assistant
After many years of struggling with not knowing what she wanted to be when she "grew up", Aundree became a Physical Therapist Assistant in 2012. She loves working with kids and helping them build the strength and confidence they need to help them reach their fullest possible functional independence. She is passionate about being environmentally conscientious and hopes to live a net zero life someday. Aundree also loves home improvement projects, hiking/backpacking, and musicals.
I am Lola Vandrey! I have been in the Early Childhood field for 31 years. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development and an Associates Degree in Elementary Education. . I spent 22 years as a military spouse and worked in various positions and places, while moving and raising a family. . We have recently moved back to Indiana to be close to family. I have been married to my husband Nathan for 29 years and we have 2 grown Children who attend Indiana University. My husband and I like to travel and have been to quite a few countries together. I also like to quilt and go swimming and fishing. I look forward to serving you, and helping your child reach their full potential.

I love working with kids and have been a therapist in a variety of pediatric settings.
