Christy Pumphrey is a licensed speech-language pathologist who provides part-time services at A Step Ahead Pediatric Therapy while working full-time for the local school system. She graduated from Indiana University in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree and earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Mississippi University for Women in 2001.

Christy began her career at A Step Ahead Pediatric Therapy in 2001 and worked full-time until 2016. After several years focusing on school-based therapy, she returned to A Step Ahead in July 2024 to offer her expertise part-time. With a wealth of experience in both clinical and educational settings, Christy is passionate about helping children develop their communication skills and supporting families on their therapy journey.

Outside of work, Christy enjoys spending time with her family, supporting her children’s activities, and staying involved in her community.
